Obstructed View At The 'Sphere' In Las Vegas Ruins Experience

brobible.com: The ‘Sphere’ in Las Vegas has quickly become one of the biggest viral sensations on the internet and people are flocking to Sin City to check it out, but it is important to know where you are buying your tickets before you go. An obstructed view in the 200-level section completely ruins the entire experience. Beware!

I have touched on this topic before. On one hand, the sphere is an incredibly cool venue that offers an artistic experience that is unlike any other that I know of. It is more encompassing than other venues as they audience is surrounded by the media versus having a large screen in front of them. Very cool in theory. In practice, I see a few issues that cannot really go unaddressed. First of all, this place has to have some warnings before patrons enter it. The seating, from my understanding, is very steep and the media being so all encompassing can cause some medial issues for some. The second issue that I see is the media is not just on the interior of the building. It extends to the outside, maybe with different content, but still is extremely visually interesting. The issue is that it is also very visually interesting for drivers on the street. As someone who grew up in a large city, it can already be hard to drive let alone adding a massive glowing sphere to the side of the rode.

This sphere has been all over my social media! Most of the videos I have seen have been outside of the sphere with the little smiley face on it, or videos from concerts inside the sphere. I think it is disappointing that there are seats within that are obstructed. My favorite venues are those that it does not matter where you are, you can see everything and with something that is so grounded in the whole experience of being able to see all the technology I would never want to sit in those seats. However, I am glad articles like these are coming out to make people aware because I have been that person that thought I had good seats to discover that I cannot see parts of the stage and that is the worst. I will also say that a positive side to having these obstructed seats is they can be cheaper and even though you cannot see everything you are still getting to see the majority of the show for a more affordable price.

I’ve talked about the Las Vegas Sphere in SO many of my comments, and it’s because I absolutely LOVE it. It’s such a modern and high tech space that you can't see/get anywhere else but Sin City. The sphere has come up so many times on all my social media platforms, and it is really begging for me to take a trip there to catch the U2 concert that is occurring in the space. Personally, I assumed as though there would be some seats in the sphere that were obstructed view way before this article came out. because in my opinion, there was no way the designers and creators of The Las Vegan Sphere avoided every single factor that would make the set unobstructed. There are just too many factors that play into that and it would have been very difficult to avoid all of them.
