What If We Valued Theatre Like We Value Parks?
AMERICAN THEATRE: Since the beginning of September, thousands of people have gathered in Prospect Park to watch a play by Molière. Some arrived as lifelong theatregoers or returning audience members. Many were simply walking through the park and spontaneously decided to stay.

TCG Books Play Collection goes live on Drama Online
DC Metro Theater Arts: Theatre Communications Group (TCG) – the national organization for theater, founded in 1961, and North America’s largest independent trade publisher of dramatic literature – has announced that the TCG Books Play Collection is now live on Drama Online with 110 titles, and will be completed with a further 90 titles later in 2022.

Artist Completes Public Work Celebrating Hill District Residents
90.5 WESA: Njaimeh Njie spent three years on her public artwork “Homecoming: Hill District, USA.” This month, she completed the project’s final piece, a photo mural on the front steps of the Hill House Association’s landmark Kaufmann Center. But if a visit just hours after the installation is any indication, the work is already meeting its goal of connecting community members across time and space.

Advocates Call on NJ Governor to Veto Law Passed Without Hearings
www.ticketnews.com: Word has gotten out of the New Jersey legislature’s rapid passage of a bill stripping away a limit on tickets held back from the public in the Garden State, and many are questioning why the bill made it through the legislature with zero public hearings on the matter. The measure, which Gov. Phil Murphy has yet not indicated whether or not he intends to sign, was pushed hard by venue ownership in the state, which would stand to profit wildly due to the removal of the 5% cap on held back tickets for industry insiders.
