Astera for #RedAlertRESTART Lighting Action in the US

Techie Talk: Astera products played their part for the recent #RedAlertRESTART campaign in the United States on 1st September, a collective lighting action that saw over 2000 buildings, places, structures, landmarks and spaces lit in red to highlight the critical situation facing live events and entertainment … and the demand for Congress to pass the RESTART Act (S.3814) soonest to offer some sort of relief to the industry and try to get things moving again.

Make A 60-Second Video For WeMakeEvents North America

LiveDesignOnline: WeMakeEvents North America is asking people in the entertainment design and technology industry to create a no more than 60-second video (Instagram regular post max is 60 seconds). Tell your story and to humanize the impact that the loss of live events has had on you (and your family if applicable) by answering the questions below. This will help illustrate the overall plight of our industry, which has been shut since March and may not open fully for many months to come.

Standing as One at Silverstone for #WeMakeEvents Global Day of Action

Lighting&Sound America Online - News: Persistent and torrential rain didn't dampen any spirits or enthusiasm at Silverstone Circuit in the UK where moving light manufacturer Robe UK, rental and production company Clearsound and Silverstone's events and conference team transformed the world-famous race track's "Wing" building and conference center "resplendent red" for the evening of September 30, 2020.

#WeMakeEvents is Felt Around the World with Global Action Day

Lighting&Sound America Online - News: Yesterday marked the #WeMakeEvents Global Action Day, in which countries from across the globe came together in solidarity to highlight the plight that is currently facing the worldwide live events industry. In total, over 25 countries took part at 8pm local time, with activations delivering a range of creative responses, such as lighting iconic buildings in red to highlight how the industry is in red alert, as well as beaming shafts of white light into the sky to highlight the mass job losses.

D-Day countdown - WeMakeEvents Global Day of Action planned for 30th September

LightSoundJournal.com: The #WeMakeEvents campaign has been ramping up activity in order to highlight how the global live events industry urgently needs to get back to work. Over 30 million people in 25 countries would usually work in the events industry, but with social distancing measures in place, there is no possibility of a financially viable return for the foreseeable future.

NAMM Urges All Industry Professionals to Contact Congress to Support Critical Live Event Industry Relief

Lighting&Sound America Online - News: NAMM is issuing an urgent call-to-action to all industry professionals to contact their members of Congress NOW to support the RESTART Act (S.3814). The bill would provide provisions for the hardest-hit businesses to access additional PPP funds, long term, low-interest loans, and supplemental unemployment insurance to assist the hundreds of thousands of creative industry service workers impacted by the pandemic.
