Pittsburgh Power Outage Shuts Down Opening Night of 'Eureka Day' at City Theatre

onstagepittsburgh.com: First there was light, and there was none. And then there was light again. And then none. And then it was light again. By that time, unfortunately, City Theatre had zapped enough electric power that it was impossible for the opening night of Eureka Day to go on. Managing Director James McNeel and Artistic Director Clare Drobot announced to the crowded lobby that a show would be added Tuesday, and ticket-holders would receive emails about that and other options.

All Evening Shows on Broadway Cancelled in Face of Blizzard

Playbill: New York City is currently under a blizzard warning, as one-to-two feet of snow is expected to fall beginning Sunday morning February 22, and into February 23. In the face of warnings of whiteout conditions and officials urging New Yorkers to limit travel during the snowstorm, the Broadway League has announced that all Sunday evening shows are cancelled, including the final performance of the original Broadway cast of Operation Mincemeat.

Seattle Children's Theatre Pulls Bruce Lee Play From Kennedy Center Lineup

Playbill: Seattle Children's Theatre has joined the growing list of artists who wish to no longer be affiliated with the Kennedy Center following President Trump's takeover. On January 20, the theatre announced that it would be pulling its upcoming production of Young Dragon: A Bruce Lee Story from the Washington, D.C. institution's Family Theatre venue.

Seattle Children’s Theatre cancels Kennedy Center shows

The Seattle Times: Seattle Children’s Theatre has withdrawn from an upcoming production at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. “Young Dragon: A Bruce Lee Story,” by Keiko Green, will debut at Seattle Children’s Theater Feb. 19-March 15, after which the show was scheduled to transfer to the Kennedy Center from April 11-19.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Cancels Summer 2026 Programming

Playbill: Massachusetts' Williamstown Theatre Festival will not present programming in summer 2026. The summer theatre company will resume in 2027. The company says it will use the intervening time "to activate a new phase of artistic research, development, and year-round engagement," aimed at creating a sustainable model of newly year-round programming, with the annual summer Festival as a cornerstone.
