How Ben Affleck, George Clooney Lobbied to Resume Actors Strike Talks

Ultimately, these strikes are bad for all parties. No one is having their work produced which makes it incredibly hard to make a living. There is also an aspect of mental wellbeing when artist and creative people (or anyone for that matter) cannot do what they love. There is a sense despair when we are not creating. What these larger name celebrates are doing is advocating for those under them. These A-listers don’t necessarily need the pay from the project they are missing out on. Sure to keep up their expensive lifestyle they may but they could certainly scale down but the people who don’t make nearly as much money don’t necessarily have the same options. They are sometimes living paycheck to paycheck so the larger names urging everyone back to the table is benefitting every single party in the process whether that is the studios that make the movies, the actors, or the creative teams behind them.
