On Theatre, Home, and Housing
HowlRound Theatre Commons: The idea of “housing” can be very abstract, existing in government offices far from the materiality of how people actually live. It is the ability to reconnect the two that The Most Beautiful Home…Maybe (TMBHM) brings to this most fundamental of issues.

This is so cool. It is a great example of how theater and the skills it gives us translates to more than just a play. I have always been really interested in things like this. I love working in theatrical settings but I think that projects like this could be really beneficial to prevent burnout in artists. I also think that the work they are doing and the impact they are having on the communities they are working in is so important. Artists have a deep understanding of how to use the skills they have to impact people's lives and I would also argue that artists are the most empathetic people. I think the combination of those two skills would make a project like this incredibly successful, and from what I gathered from reading this it seems like it is true. I wonder how many other projects could be created and how many problems could be solved if theater artists used their skills for more than just creating plays.
