As a person who prefers and uses tools in the DeWalt universe, I have greatly enjoyed seeing the progression over the years of what Dewalt has done to improve inter-tool battery usage. Being able to use different tools that may require different power amounts and usage times with only having one battery type is kind of annoying, sometime needing to change out every 20 min or so. With many newer tools and their respective batteries, there are many different size choices that you can choose from depending on what job is needing to get done, being able to keep a lightweight battery for things like using a drill for sinking screws or a heavier/larger battery for longer use like leaf blowing. Being able to use the same chargers to all of the kinds of batteries is very nice when you have so many tools that may come with their own batteries, which is why moving out of one tool universe is hard. It is nice to see DeWalt continuing to make progress to ensure that everyone using their tools can get the battery life necessary for the jobs they might be doing, which is a constantly changing requirement for any sector that needs tools.
