I do not like AI art. It is so artificially produced and ungenuine. Art is about emotion and beauty, to look at something and feel an emotion from it. Something someone hand-crafted with both delicate precision as well as harsh strokes. How is someone supposed to feel from something generated by a computer? The fact that you can pick your mediums from the click of a button is just not art to me.
The act of picking up a piece of Charcoal, taking a pen with Ink, dipping a brush in water for Watercolor, and Using the annoying turpentine in Oil Painting. All of this is simplified in AI. Some find this awesome and take advantage of the easiness of this new Cocreator aspect, which scares me for the future of artists. Many people feel comfortable in this style, fixing a mistake with a command, art is about making ‘mistakes’ and learning from it, but also realizing it isn’t a mistake, but something to work from. Overall, this article was a tough read. But I have to accept the fate of young artists not being pushed to create something with their hands.
