I think that there is some very cool technology inside this office, however, I would disagree that to call this an extraordinary workspace. The purpose of these installations at Pixel Artwork’s office is not to give the employees a more creative environment to work in but to provide an environment to impress clients and to gain news such as this very article. The exhibits described in this article are not targeted at employees, but rather customers. The 270-degree video wall will allow engineers to demonstrate their designs to customers, in a technically impressive environment. If a customer walks in and sees this fancy technology working well, they may be more likely to give the company business.
One thing to note is that if you have fancy technology in your lobby, but it is broken or then it is going to look very bad for the company, more so than having nothing would be. You know that a company has problems when their displays show the Windows desktop or even worse, have crashed.

I always identify with being an artist, and I feel like at the same time that goes with identifying as a non-stem person if that makes sense. I feel like art, and science are always super separated, but I think that this is a really good example of ways that they can work so beautifully together. As technology advances, there’s definitely a correlation in the type of artwork that we see, and how art has evolved over time. They really do go hand and hand. I went to an immersive exhibit in Boston that featured impressionist artwork, especially works by Monet which I really really enjoyed and I thought it was a really cool modern take on more historical works, and it gave them new life and meaning. I also went to an incredible immersive exhibit in New York City that featured the artwork of Gustav clamped and I learned so much during the exhibit and I thought it was really cool that all the projections matched the architecture of the building which is also really unique and beautiful. I’m really interested to see how this works because instead of projections it’s LED displays so I wonder how that will change the experience.
