Well, my opinions about the naming convention of the park aside, this does seem like an exciting innovation and step forward in theme park immersion techniques and infrastructure. It’s been awhile since one of the big theme parks in the USA built an entire new “land” (vs. one new area), and if the renderings and blurb about this holds up, I’m sure it will be an incredibly cool place to visit. Personally, I’m very excited about the How to Train your Dragon themed land - that series was a childhood favorite of mine, and with all the new robotics, lighting and general theming related technology that is appearing in all kinds of theme park settings (I’m very specifically thinking about the Super Mario land), there is some incredible potential to make “magic” happen in a plethora of ways. I do wonder how much it’ll end up costing to visit Universal as it’s already an expensive trip and if this will make them push prices up again.

This is very exciting to me which would be a surprise to most who know me as I am not a big theme park person, I’m actually quite the opposite, I generally hate rides and don’t go on them if I can avoid it. But what I do enjoy is the immersive experience that Universal offers you, with areas such as Diagon Alley being 1 to 1 replicas of movie places with the ability to feel like you are in the world of the movie. I love seeing more of these immersive experiences entering the market. Especially from Universal who’s theme park is the first I truly loved and the only one that I have wanted to go back to ever since I went, back in 2019. I for one can’t wait for these additions and I just hope I get a chance to go some time soon after they are all officially opened.

I’ve heard about Universal expanding its theme park franchise but I didn’t know it was THIS extensive. I thought they were just expanding the Universal Studios in Florida but this sounds like a whole new park. I liked that at the end it had one small sentence about how Universal was going to “integrate energy efficiency and sustainable construction practices.” Not that I don’t believe them, but I don’t believe whatever practices they’re doing are going to combat the adverse effects of building a whole new theme park. I always think it’s funny how places like these will brag about their inclusion of gardens and waterfalls but the process to implement those artificial nature spaces kills nature with the byproducts and waste that come with not only building a whole new theme park, but also the maintenance. Nevertheless I’m sure it will be very cool and I’ll never go anyways.

I love theme parks and I love love love Universal. It is probably my favorite park ever. I’ve only been once but I adored it so much and I definitely plan on going back in the future. I’m a huge theme park fanatic so this is a large compliment. This new park looks so amazing and so pretty. They’re adding a super nintendo world like they did in California and I’m so excited. Super Nintendo World in California was a bit of a flop but hopefully they’ll fix the issues for the opening in Florida. As much as I hate JK Rowling I am still very excited for the addition to the Wizarding World. They shut down my favorite ride, The Dragon Challenge, and I hope this new Fantastic Beasts attraction will include the revamped Dragon Challenge. I think the fantastic beasts movies are so gorgeous so I’m so excited to see what they add to the wizarding world to include fantastic beasts.

I saw the first announcement for this park on tik tok and overall I am excited. I am a tried and true Disney World girl, and everyone in my family are insane Disney Adults so I do not hold that strong of a connection to the Universal Parks, especially since I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan. I do think that this new expansion of the park is very ambitious and if it gets executed well I can see it dragging in a lot more people to Universal with the competition of Disney World. It seemed as though Disney World has the appeal of a multi-day trip with families due to the multiple parks, and this seems like Universal trying to give their park the same duration of visiting. I think the overall name is kinda stupid and redundant but whatever. I think the How to Train Your Dragon world will be cool but it does feel a little weird that some of the parks are franchise specific and then there's just like “Horror World”. But Universal is known for doing Halloween the best out of the parks so maybe it'll work out.
