When reading this I was honestly surprised that a Galileo musical didn’t already exist. His story seems so perfect for a musical: a prodigal boy with his eyes set on the stars (literally) exiled from his home for trying to express himself. I feel like I can already hear the music. I actually first learned the story of Galileo by reading the play The Life of Galileo. I did a couple scenes from it in my high school theater classes. It’s a really good play and I’m surprised more people don't know it. All that is to say, I think Galileo’s story is perfect for the stage. I’m so excited to see how this musical does. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for reviews. The creative team looks amazing and super stacked so I have high hopes for this show. I hope this goes to broadway. I think it could do really well there.
