BroadwayWorld: This August, Meredith McDonough began her tenure as Trinity Repertory Company's seventh Artistic Director. McDonough, whose appointment was announced in March, joins Executive Director Katie Liberman and Board of Trustees Chair Kibbe Reilly in leading the storied nonprofit. This moment marks the first time in which all of the theater's leaders identify as women.

Trinity Repertory Company's recent appointment of Artistic Director Meredith McDonough is exciting for a multitude of reasons, but importantly, as the article highlights, this now allows the theatre the rare opportunity to have an all-female leadership of artistic director, executive director, and chair of the board. A rare opportunity in America’s regional theatre scene. This was particularly intriguing for me to read as one of my prior posts focused on the outgoing artistic director. Incoming Artistic Director Meredith McDonough is well accomplished in her field and excited to see what she is able to accomplish. For many years, she served as the Associate Artistic Director at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, as well as having deep experience with new works. The article also highlighted the impressive board of directors the theatre has and the vital role they play in the theatre's success. Trinity Rep now seems to be at a powerful point of transition, and it's exciting to see the new possibilities in store for them.
