I think this tribute to the lives lost during the 9/11 attack is very beautiful and utilizes technology that has been more often seen as a weapon in the media used for art and memory. When I read the title, the word drone stuck out at me. I have felt like since the creation of this technology the media grew from discussion on their incredible use to centering on its utilization in war. To see this innovation as a media for art reminds me how important a user’s goal and morals impact the use of the technology and how things are not inherently violent and dangerous but it is our choices that make that impact. The lives lost in 9/11 happened because of a violent use of a plane so to use another technology that has been used wrongly to reshape the story of the object gives me hope that we can always change our relationship with technology and make sure they are used to help the world instead of further division.
