www.slashgear.com: It would not be hyperbole to say that XReal glasses have been an absolute game changer for me. I travel a lot for work, and travel (in-car, in-airplane, or otherwise) also tends to be downtime. Spending hours in a small seat, designed for people much smaller than my 270-pound frame, means that I often cannot spend that time doing anything productive, which is to say, I can't just pop open a laptop and do some writing while flying across the Atlantic Ocean.

How have I never heard about these? I've seen and read about the META glasses, VR headsets, and 3D glasses, but this is a game changer that I feel the public is not aware of. The ability to have both prescription as a projection screen is magic to me. I am not technically savvy enough to understand the mechanics behind the tool, but I am fascinated by how it doesn't rely on a battery and the speaker capabilities.
As someone who travels a lot and would theoretically have good reasons to use them, I'm not sure how I feel about XReal glasses. It feels like we are getting one step closer to the humans from Wall-E. As technology advances and conveniences are easier to come by, I believe we are becoming less human.
At the same time, this tool can be used to enhance experiences if utilized properly. I'm curious if there is any way we can incorporate this into a theatrical production. We've done it in film by adding 3D glasses, so who knows what is possible.
