What Happened To Wreck It Ralph At Disney World?

I actually wrote about Disney cast members a few weeks ago, about how they work behind the scenes to create the magic, so this one was kind of hard to read. This is the other side of that. The part that stuck with me is the detail from the former cast member that Ralph is probably harnessed onto the float. That makes complete sense as a safety decision, because you really do not want a performer falling off a moving float in front of a crowd. But it also means that when something goes wrong, the performer cannot get themselves out. The thing keeping them safe is the same thing keeping them stuck. Not only that, the costume makes it worse. It is a full body inflatable, so nobody can see the performer's face and they probably cannot signal easily either. The only reason anyone noticed is that Ralph was leaning wrong. That is a system where the only way to tell whether a person is in trouble is to read the posture of a cartoon character. I really wish this example could lead Disney to find a better way to keep Ralph stable on the float.
