How One Event Turned Pre-Show Survey Feedback into Action
www.eventmarketer.com: For its 2026 Spring Summit, Builder Innovator pivoted from its traditional survey strategy to using AI-powered surveys and conversational AI agents, powered by Marcus AI. For a hosted-buyer construction event, zeroing in on the right connections is critical, and the new survey tools are instrumental in delivering a deeply personalized experience and upgrading the event design overall.

I will say that over time there are ways that AI has made improvements on things that society has done for a long time. Even if sometimes I feel that AI is overstepping in its involvement in entertainment that does not mean that it doesn't have uses. This article showcases how AI can be used to streamline processes that would be hard to do with manual input. Specifically the streamlining that I am referring to is that the AI would make the survey shorter if people were inputting single word answers. Which very efficiently removes responses from people that the show would not be interested in anyway. Additionally using the AI to change the survey based on responses and then apply knowledge it has learned to the event as whole is a great idea even if it taking work from people who would have been going through the responses themselves.
While I am typically against using it, this seems like a good use for AI. Feedback is a really important way to improve events before the next one and it has become increasingly hard to get good feedback because no one wants to take the time to fill out a survey. I have been forced to fill out many surveys in the past that can be frustrating because they don’t seem to ask the right questions or have the right options for me to clearly explain what could be improved. Having an AI that adapts the survey to the person’s responses to get clearer feedback can help immensely in streamlining events while still allowing consumers to fill out surveys quickly and on their own time with as much or as little detail they are willing to share. I expect that we will see a lot more AI surveys like this in the future because it just makes even planning a little easier for everyone involved.
