Hollywood Studios at Disney World Adds 4 New Experiences Replacing Star Wars Attraction

disneytips.com: Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been an ever-changing park at Walt Disney World this year, and it is not finished. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster reopened with the Muppets. The Mandalorian and Grogu joined Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Monstropolis got a partial 2027 opening timeline at D23.

I understand that as one of the most famous corporations in the world, Disney must update their parks as time goes on, but I really do not understand why they need to make Hollywood Studios more accessible to kids, as it has historically been the only park tailored to adults. Disney’s main demographic is families with small children, but that is not their only audience. Everyone watches Disney movies; from revisiting childhood favorites to the latest superhero movie or rom-com, Disney has a film for anyone, at any age. Given the extent to which Disney has expanded in recent years, they most certainly have a sizable adult audience. For example, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is like the highest-grossing franchise of all time, so many adults watch those films daily. Star Wars is right up there too. Hollywood Studios has barely enough mature “thrill” rides to entertain a group of adults for a day; children have all of the other parks to explore. I really wish Disney would maintain the exciting rides in Hollywood Studios, because adults need to have fun too.
