GLP UK Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Debuts and JDC2 IP Workshops at PLASA 2026
LightSoundJournal.com: Marking 10 years of GLP UK, the stand brings together the UK team, international GLP colleagues, and some of the latest additions to the GLP range, including the impression FR2, WildBar 8, and TWYN. Alongside them is the JDC2 IP, supported by a separate program of dedicated hands-on workshops running away from the bustle of the show floor.

I've been not liked dual-purpose fixtures for a while, but the TWYN (along with its anologes like the pulsar) are an exception. Putting a Creos-style 3×3 zoomable RGBL wash on one face and a JDC Burst-inspired strobe tube with RGBW plates on the other sounds like a gimmick until you count truss positions. That's two fixtures worth of function in one hang, which on a tight rig is the difference between getting your strobe looks and cutting them. That's a real problem solved, not a feature invented to fill a spec sheet. The other think I like about the duel-side fixtures is they can be used as 2 independent fixtures (wash OR strobe). Or, you can just spin them and make a blur of color, which is fun. There other announcesmentes were also cool. I am a big fan of small form-factor single-chip washes, so seeing the FR2 was nice (but I hate that it breaks their current FR product line naming convention)
