George Lucas on opening Lucas Museum: ‘This one almost broke my will’
Los Angeles Times: As George Lucas and Mellody Hobson introduced their new $1 billion museum to press, they focused on two things: the long arc of narrative storytelling and the long arc of their hero’s journey to make their dream a reality.

I think having a museum specifically set apart for narrative art is such a sign of good in society’s belief in the arts and also how the arts can stand up against adversity. Lucas and Hobson have spent time and effort to build this museum for the people who are often under-appreciated in the art world. They are recognizing those that shape our media through storytelling in a welcoming way for all involved. I would love to one day visit the museum and learn more about their curatorial process and involvement with their community. The public’s attention and efforts to travel to visit for the opening on September 22 shows how this museum is both necessary and wanted. I love the architecture of the museum in how mysterious and intriguing its silhouette is against the nature around it. I hope we will soon get photos of the interior and its exhibitions.
