As someone who visits Greece often either to see family or to go on vacation. I can’t help but agree with the costume designers & directors desire to make sure that the costumes were wearable in the Greek heat. I think it is a difficult task to take characters who have already been known by the people who watched them in one environment for several years, and then be the person who must take these already known characters into a completely new environment for a new story. I appreciate the costume designer's awareness not only to keep these designs functional but still keep the costumes within the artistic vision and needs for the film. For the designers first time working with this film I love how he continues to acknowledge the characters previous stories while also bringing them to a new space that not only conveys the message of the film. I was mostly going to watch this film because I am a greek so why not, but after seeing the thought and detail put into the costumes I will certainly keep an eye out for them.
