This piece going back to Broadway is so exciting and I hope I get to make it out to New York to go see it. This story is so prevalent in today’s society and so frequently I see pieces that are getting revived, and I wonder why but this just isn’t one of those. There is a reason for this piece right now. I think it will overall touch the lives of so many people that are going to get the opportunity to see it and relate to it in a way that they might not have before. I am even more excited because I imagine that this piece is going to go on tour soon after its limited engagement in New York which means it will reach the lives of so many that do not have the means (be it financial or their schedule) to go to New York, let along see a Broadway show.

in my opinion, The WIZ is a wonderful musical and deserves so much more attention, and that is why i am so happy to see that it is coming to broadway! like moulin rouge, we, the CMU SoD students, have the opportunity to watch the tour of The WIZ, and I am very excited to see it! this past march, i closed The Wizard of Oz with my high school as my senior year musical which is the musical The WIZ is based off of! I personally am not the BIGGEST fan of the stage version of The Wizard of Oz, and I like The WIZ so much more. I also think that the creative and prodstaff of The WIZ (broadway revival) couldn’t be any better. The staff has so much talent, and it is bound to be a fantastic revival.
