This sounds like something I would enjoy. Storytelling is such a cool way of communication and entertainment/ knowledge receiving. Although some of them are tales, they all hold substance in the way they are told and the perspectives of the women telling the stories. Some people believe that gender doesn’t affect a story and more specifically a woman's story. I could not agree less. A woman can experience something in a completely different way than a man does. And I know there is a complete grey area in which lies those who do not fit into either ‘gender role.’ But sticking to the female narrative, I think it is more than necessary to exclaim these stories and pass them down. In my art, I chose to portray women and with this, it tells a story. Something about a woman is sensitive and different in a way than a man is and therefore this is an important tradition to keep around.
