I think the review culture is really interesting to think about. I tend to slick on articles like these because I like to see how different people dig into the same material. I think especially for the big magazines like the New York Times or The Independent it can sway how many people buy tickets or change public opinions, I just find it interesting how influential some of these reviews can be. As for the actual show I was shocked to see that most of the views were negative for this show, I'm not entirely sure why because I feel like most professional reviews are at least somewhat critical. But actually, a majority of the reviews within the article had a pretty negative perception of the show and statistically, it seems like a lot for that many people to walk away with a pretty negative view of a piece. As for what I got from the piece itself (I mean I haven't seen it so I cannot be sure) I do understand how the perception could be so mixed and or negative because it didn’t seem like it had a “typical” musical structure
