All of these theatres need a way to keep the lights on during this pandemic. Although some have tried to repurpose themselves into testing centers and vaccine centers, most do not have this luxury. All small theatres and venues are going to need this grant to help them restart production. They have furloughed as much staff as possible and have been running into debt just to try and keep their stage alive. We, as a nation, should respect this amazing feat and try to give them money to help quickly restart productions. Although I know things won’t be instant, I am disappointed that they had to push back the starting date due to technical difficulties. This should not be an issue in the modern world but unfortunately it is for these venues. I wish that instead of pushing in back, they could elect to email their application somewhere. This might make it a bit easier.
