Best Nail Gun for Anyone in 2021

Pro Tool Reviews: When you ask who makes the best tools, the answers vary. It’s a long-held belief around here that the manufacturer with the best cordless drill doesn’t necessarily make the best miter saw. The same can be said for each type of nailer. In fact, the best nail gun in the various categories and styles we cover brings many different manufacturers into the spotlight.

When deciding on what tools to buy, it is important to try and keep a level head and consider all the factors between different options to make sure you are getting the best deal or performance possible. Too often, tool users revert to a tribal preference- Milwaukee, DeWalt, or others. As the author notes, "When you ask who makes the best tools, the answers vary. It’s a long-held belief around here that the manufacturer with the best cordless drill doesn’t necessarily make the best miter saw. The same can be said for each type of nailer." I really like my Milwaukee 12v and 18v drivers, as well as the various other options in their catalogue, but I probably wouldn't buy a miter saw or other bench tool from them. I am not convinced that the quality to price ratio of Milwaukee is worth it for a table saw, even though I would gladly spend and arm and a leg on a new impact driver from them. I appreciate that this article takes the time to note that even between different types of nail guns, the author acknowledges that there isn't one best brand. Tribal loyalty is useful when it comes to battery operated tools, but pneumatic tools like nail guns are much more interchangeable within an ecosystem, so it is important to recognize that Metabo makes a great framing nailer, but Hitachi has a better finish nailer.

Surprise surprise the company with the best battery technology is the one with the best battery powered nail guns. I think this article more than anything just proves that their battery powered offerings are still just far superior to the rest of the competition in the field in particular when you are looking at “pro” level tool. The other thing that pleasantly surprised me was the fact that the Paslode is still considered a top quality nail gun. I mean I still use the one my grandfather has to re-fab his doc every summer and I’m pretty sure that thing predates my mom’s high school graduation. It’s just crazy to me how when these kinds of tools are done right and are truly the best of what they do with very little changes they can last a lifetime. I think in the age of the new shiny tool when are always looking at the latest release or what’s the cheapest or gets the job done. If you buy right it’ll truly stand the test of time.
