It sounds like that this art festival will be the first of its kind in Pittsburgh post pandemic. Everyone must somehow prove that they are not positive for covid-19 which makes total sense and it is all indoors. This seems like a crazy change from what we have been seeing previously where no indoor events were allowed even if people tested negative. Although this is very encouraging news, I think that we should be cautiously optimistic about our future of live events. Personally, I think that some of these new protocols and whatnot might be too expensive for most venues/events to afford so many will have to wait until they do not have to have these expensive health apps to reopen. Also, there is a possibility of having to contract trace everyone in the facility which would become very time consuming and frustrating for everyone. I hope this event goes well, but we all do need to realize that the procoautions put in place here might not be financially feasible everywhere.

This festival sounds promising, and it seems like they're taking all the right precautions. Personally, I don't think I'll be comfortable attending in person performances for a long time. This is a nice hybrid festival though where you can attend outdoors as well as indoors if you like. I haven't heard of the Three Rivers Arts Festival before, but it seems like a really cool idea. One of the things I miss most about Chicago is the festivals and events going on year round, and I know I'm not getting the full Pittsburgh experience because of the pandemic, but I hope there will be more events like this in the future.
