‘Twilight: Gods’ reviews: Lyric Opera delivers a sensational drive-through Wagner in underground garage
Chicago Sun-Times: Parking garages are often dingy, dank, and, well, a little forbidding — in other words, the perfect, if totally unlikely setting for a radical reimagining of “Götterdämmerung.” The dark, ultimately redemptive work culminates Richard Wagner’s mythic 19th-century opera cycle, “Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung).”

This is so cool! Chicago has tons and tons of underground garages and tunnels, and I've never thought about using them as performance spaces. This is such an interesting performance from the lighting, the performers, using radio stations to hear them so you don't have to roll down your window, all of it is really well thought out. Honestly, I hope performances like this continue even after the pandemic. What a great way for people who may be afraid of crowds to experience live entertainment in the comfort of their own car. I wish I was back home to experience this too, but I'll definitely tell my friends.
