I'm genuinely so glad that this is an article. I'm very passionate about sustainability and I'm going to either double major or double minor in environmental sustainability studies. I think it's really cool that there is a whole thing like ESL planned and available to the public. Now granted it is expensive to go to the show, but I think it would be well worth it to learn how to plan events more sustainably. also random sign tangent about sustainability, but I love the environmental ideas class that I'm taking this semester. It feels very applicable to many things in my life and it's the humanities part of sustainability and I really like that. I think every person on this Earth should be educated and aware of the impact they're having on the environment. This especially applies to artists and theater makers because it can be very wasteful sometimes, and we should try to prevent that.

One of the main reasons why I committed to Carnegie Mellon is because they have an additional major in environmental sustainability studies which I am pursuing during my time here. Change has been a really important issue to me and I really wanna learn how to incorporate practices and make the industry more sustainable and more environmentally friendly. This article was really exciting because I think that sustainability of life is a really important step in the right direction into making meaningful change. It’s really cool that it will host people from all over North America to learn how to improve event planning in order to lower the carbon footprint. I hope that the people who attend really take what the speaker say to heart and actually implement change into their own lives. I’m also really curious to see who ends up speaking at this event, and what their different backgrounds will be.
