The Wizard of Oz was the first show I had ever been in when I was in second grade so it has a very special place in my heart. Even before that I think I was Dorothy for Halloween maybe three years in a row. Reading this article was really interesting because I didn’t even know that Warner Bros had a movie world in Australia. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of amusement park style rides I think that this would be really cool to see in person especially if you can see rides inspired by your favorite. I think that the timing of these rides are perfect beside the Wicked movie coming out this year. There is definitely a lot of hype and excitement surrounding this story this year. The author of the original Wicked book also just announced that he will be releasing a new book in the universe this year as well I believe. Since the Wizard of Oz is a classic family-friendly tale, I think it will bring in a lot of business for the amusement park.

Oh my god I love Amusement parks! I genuinely love the rides and amusement parks so much, it is so much fun getting that feeling of zero gravity, and some of the rides, and going so fast. I think this idea is super cool. I've always been super interested in amusement park design, and how the people even make those crazy ideas. I think this theme would also be really cool. looking at all the different pictures of the design and ideas related to the movie, is really interesting and I think very clever. I love how lots of different design aspects overlap in a ton of different artistic worlds. This allows me to say more into other people's jobs and try and understand them more. it also gives me a little bit of Base knowledge into those jobs. Also I think whoever designs amusement parks, or who came up with the first one, they should all get cookies because they deserve cookies for being awesome.

I’m apologetic to say I didn’t know that Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia was a thing (though I’ve also never been to Australia, but there's another checkbox of somewhere to visit if I do go!) I feel like the Wizard of Oz is such a classic, I never thought about how it didn’t have a ride somewhere, I guess I assumed it already did - though there is so much potential in that story for incredible rides and spaces to explore! I’d love to go to their Wizard of Oz world and see all they’ve done with it, riding on the Flight of the Wicked Witch. I think theme park rides are so cool, and have so much potential for awesome design, it’s amazing to see how incredibly immersive and exciting rides are getting. The Disney imagineering show is super cool to get to see a little of the behind the scenes of that kind of work. It’s such incredibly creative thinking to transform a story into a ride, I would love to delve more into that world one day - also rides are just super fun so why not go to a Wizard of Oz theme park.

I find this concept so nostalgic, yet am surprised that a Wizard of Oz land hasn't, as far as I know, been created as a major theme park before. The reason this feels so nostalgic to me is because of a place called Storybook Land in South Dakota. I used to go there with my family when we got together as a large extended family. There was a yellow brick road that would lead through the entire theme park and a “tornado room,” which, as a child, I vividly imagined as a literal tornado trapped in a room that you would walk into; it would spin you around three times and then drop you off on the other side. In reality, it was a room with cows hanging from the sky and wind noises. However, I bet my first vision is not going to be far off from this new theme park and the ride's journey through the tornado to get you from Kansas to Oz.

I’m a sucker for new theme park news and this is another really fun article about that! I had never heard of Warner Bros. Movie World Australia before, but after some quick skimming over searches, it seems like a really neat theme park. I know that Wizard of Oz is a particularly nostalgic movie for a lot of people, and the theming (at least in the concept images) seems incredibly specific and detailed which I’m sure will be a hit. Aside from the theming adding three (!) new coasters is a very cool move and the Kansas Twister specifically, sounds like a very thrilling ride that will be a hit as it opens. I really enjoy it when roller coasters are specifically themed with indoor/outdoor elements as well as themed facades and these ones check all of the boxes. I’m sure this will be a fun destination for people of all ages to visit.
