This is really sad. I think I often forget how dangerous our industry can be. working at high heights and with dangerous power tools is really risky. but it creates such beautiful things. I offer my condolences to this crew member’s family, and hope everything turns out alright. Grief is such a powerful thing and it's incredibly difficult to share especially within your family. I'm glad Marvel released a statement, even though they were most likely obligated to. I really hope that this crew member is honored and remembered by the cast and crew of this Marvel show. I'm very glad that there is a fundraiser to support Osorio, his family and friends. Also I can't imagine the legal storm that Marvel has to be in right now, large corporations and capitalism and safety regulations are really all confusing. Also who inspects these types of deaths and determines the cause, forensics is very interesting and somewhat peculiar.

This is so tragic and shows how important safety is in our industry. Oftentimes workers, such as riggers, are very loosy goosy with safety. People tend to think of themselves as indestructible. In addition, because we are backstage we’re often the last people that people think of. Safety of workers isn’t anybody’s primary concern. It’s really concerning to see that he could have died because of a structural issue. That shows a complete lack of attention for him and his safety. All that being said, it is really heartwarming to see how much money has been raised. It’s so great seeing people come together for this man. I hope the legal action that his family takes will help to ensure the safety of workers in the future. I know this will take a really long time because the american law system is painfully slow but I am curious to see what, if anything, will come of this.
