This article was very inspiring to read. I was first touched by how many different positions are covered in the post – from presidents of the resort to cast members to engineers behind the scenes, it reminds us of how much work and effort goes into creating a magical experience for guests. On top of that, it’s also encouraging to see how many women are in these fields, especially for roles that are still male-dominant today. I’m particularly touched by the advocacy for more diversity and inclusion in the workplace by the POC workers at Disney. For a global company such as Disney, I believe DEI to be one of the company's most important values. The women in STEM are also inspiring to me because I’ve also been interested in STEM and even though it’s not what I’m pursuing in college, I consider technical theatre to be a branch of STEM. Seeing people’s hard work get recognised makes me happy and drives me to work harder toward my goal.
With Disney gaining more and more of a reputation as a big corporation, its sometimes easy to also forget al the good things about the company. This article not only celebrated these women, but it also helped to remind readers of the joy and happiness they bring to the world. I love how they not only celebrated their female leaders, but also women in every sort of department. A stand out to me was the pianist, as she is someone folks could go see any day, and really could bring folks a lot of joy. Music is an essential part of any Disney experience. However it was also great to learn about the women in lesser thought about departments. The gardens and landscaping that make up disney's parks are iconic and beautiful. I’m so glad one of those women got recognition for all she does.

One of my family members worked as an imaginary at Disney, and he was able to get me a book of all of the women who have made major influences upon the company. I find it unfortunate that the woman and men need to be separated, because of how much the man has been focused on in the Disney industry, however, it is super inspiring and powerful to read about the journey of all of these impressive women. evidently the Disney company would not be what it is without powerful women at the forefront of every department during quarantine. I spent a lot of time watching the different Disney+ documentaries about employees and lots of my favorite were women who said that they were one of the first in their departments, because it is evident that their passion and drive lead the department to become more successful than it already was
This article highlights the achievements of some of the amazing women who have worked at and/or contributed to the Walt Disney World Resort over the last 50 years. From the early days of planning and construction to the ongoing development of new attractions and experiences. From designing EPCOT, to managing the resorts, these roles have shaped DISNEY in one way or another. These women have undoubtedly played a key role in making the Disney parks what they are today. Despite the undeniable success of these women though, to me it is clear that the Disney corporation still has a long way to go in terms of gender equality. It is hard to completely seperate oneself from their past. In the past Walt Disney Animation Studios didn’t even allow women to work on the basis of their gender. While this has changed the Disney Corporation still proceeds to embody more conservative values that are rooted in misogyny and the lack of understanding of gender equality.
