See the Outfits Worn by Tina Turner, Marilyn Monroe, and Other Legendary ‘Divas’ Going on View in a Splashy Costume Show at the V&A

news.artnet.com: Iconic outfits worn by Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and other “divas” will star in a new exhibition at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) this summer. The show, simply titled “Diva,” celebrates era-defining performers and the various looks they donned in their heydays. Some 250 objects, including dresses, accessories, and photos, will go on display; many have never been shown in public before.

The Victoria and Albert museum has always been one of my absolute favorites. The way every thing is organized in the museum is stunning with every region of the world having its own portion of the museum and within that all of the exhibits are organized chronologically with a variety of items most having many clothing and accessories included which I believe makes it more relatable to a modern museum goer. I love this new exhibit they are launching and I hope they will produce a virtual walk through of it so those of us who can’t just fly over sees can still see the beautiful curation of clothing. I really like how it seems they are including a wide range of eras of divas come most resent as Lizzo and as early as some film stars of the 20’s and 30’s. I wish they would release some images of the exhibit so I could see how they hav it set up.
