Although a bit different from a lot of the usual articles featured on this blog, I found this particular article to be a nice light read about a theatre near my hometown. Although I live in the Lehigh Valley, I have never actually been to the Boyd Theatre. I have been to other theatres in the Bethlehem area such as Touchstone Theatre, but never Boyd. It is great to hear that in an area that is currently somewhat struggling to keep the arts alive, they are continuing to innovate theatrical spaces in the area. I think that it is going to have a really positive impact on the community when the theatre is finally rebuilt and running again. I hope that when this theatre comes back into the public scene, we can begin to see more artistic endeavors in the Lehigh Valley area, and hopefully bring more theatre experiences to the general public, especially in an establishment that has been around for over 100 years.
