Newcity Stage: “Up until now, all I‘ve heard was what we were doing in the rehearsal room with a piano,” said director Yuval Sharon in eager anticipation of hearing the first-ever orchestra-only reading of “Proximity” last November at the Lyric Opera House. “I always feel so terrible for the composers. It must be awful for them to hear their music with piano only because they have in their head a three-dimensional sound world.
