Tied Up in Bows

seamracer.wordpress.com: We now have a brand new Spring season, and where I live this means it is one of the most confusing times to dress oneself. One week can span all the weather situations – from a warm up that calls for a tornado warning to a brisk windy day or some frosty flurries! Thus, it is a challenge daily to figure out how to appropriately dress for the current meteorological conditions.

Since this is my first time living on the East Coast, or anywhere with Seasons at all actually, I've honestly had a pretty big struggle learning how to dress according to the weather, as well as keeping up with the correct fashion, as that's something that I find pretty interesting and enjoy keeping up with. at home, I would wear dresses until it hit around 60°, and then I would wear a hoodie and jeans until it was the springtime again when I'd switch back to those same dresses that I wore in the fall. Here, I've honestly had a pretty challenging time keeping up with the clothing that I like to wear, not only because of the seasons, but also because I don't have all too big of a closet. I have a single puffer jacket that I wear, a couple pairs of jeans, and a sweater collection that I've slowly but surely been growing to meet both Comfort requirements that I have as well as meeting the colors that I enjoy wearing.

Although I have been living in places where there is actual weather happening and there is a distinct difference in between all for seasons. It is my first time living in an inland city that is not close to the ocean. Personally to me, the weather in pittsburgh is truly crazy and how it changes all the time. Such as today where it was 60 in the morning and at night it is expected to drop around 10 tonight. In addition, the wind is so strong around the forbes area where I’ve always thought that it would blow me away and my hair of that day is also messed up. In this environment, the way that one should dress is extremely crucial and it would really help you to have a better day and not freeze while you are walking on the street. After half a year, I still need to learn more about it to actually master the skill of dressing in pittsburgh.

I’m a native east coast-er, and I’ve always understood the dilemma of not quite knowing what to wear out. To be perfectly honest, a lot of the time I just suffer being a little bit cold when I’m walking outside, because the other jackets I have are just a touch too heavy. The worst part of this, which happens every day without fail, is the drastic temperature change between the morning and the afternoon. You walk at 9AM and it’s 30 degrees, and then it’s 55 by 2PM. Genuinely, I am comfortable and used to being chilly. This blogger reminds me of those tights that appear to be black sheer tights, but actually are thick fleece, appearing to be sheer tights, so the look can be worn in winter. I’ve seen that a lot lately, and if I wore dresses more often I would definitely invest in them. The other part of this article I should cover leads me to comment that I absolutely adore vintage fashion, especially the crosses with modern pieces.
