David Korins perfectly captures the way we're all feeling about live experiences right now
www.taittowers.com: A multi-award winner across theatre, music, interior design and more, there’s little in the creative world that David Korins hasn’t turned his hand to. Speaking to productionglue’s, a TAIT Company, Robyn Henry, David reflects back on a career of collaboration, a year of upheaval and the future of live entertainment.

Personally, this year I have taken the time to explore some things outside of the theater. I joined the cheered team, haha have never been on a dance or cheer team (unless you count being in two hip hop classes when I was 7), I got into sports more (learned a lot about fitness), started to cook (even started a little Instagram cooking story, that I am currently taking a break from), and tried to find new things that inspired creativity through the pandemic. Theater has been a huge part of my life for a while now and the pandemic has made it harder this year. I am getting back to it. This semester has been tough but it is interesting to see how things stick (and maybe theater is just sticking because we are paying so much money for zoom theater school... but we are going to keep going with it because we are almost through this semester) Like every year, I have learned a lot and like David said I think it is important to branch out and be interested in multiple things (as long as they align in some form or fashion) Through branching out this year I've learned that I am interested in managing lighting for concerts, working on events like the SuperBowl halftime show, (like David) would love to work on the Olympics one day, and just so many other possibilities (of course starting on projects much smaller than that first!!!!) or maybe theater, we will see where the world takes me :)
