Professor is cataloging decades of religious fashion history: His research landed him on Broadway — Part I
Life | idahopress.com: “Doubt: A Parable,” a play by John Patrick Shanley, unfolds in the 1960s in a Catholic school in the Bronx. Sister Aloysius Beauvier, a member of the Sisters of Charity of New York who is principal of the school, suspects a charismatic priest of inappropriate behavior with a student. The story explores moral uncertainty, faith, power dynamics and gender roles. The play became a movie in 2008 starring Meryl Streep and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
