The plan behind the Sudden Little Thrills music festival
wesa.fm: From spring through fall each year, Pittsburgh has plenty of live music options, many of them free. Not least are the long-running Millvale Music Festival, set for May, and July’s Northside Music Festival.
So what’s special about Sudden Little Thrills, the brand new festival that announced its inaugural lineup last week?

I did not know that the Sudden Little Thrills music festival was a thing until the post of its line up come up on my instagram feed. Sometimes I forget that Pittsburgh has a very bustling arts scene and would do things like this but it got me very excited. With artists like The Killers, SZA, Melanie Martinez, and Ethel Cain in the line up it got me very excited. I was even more interested to see that it will be happening while I will be back in Pittsburgh for sophomore year so I will definitely be considering going. There are so many great festival line ups right now, and I’m especially interested in the All Things Go festival and will hopefully find a way to make it work so I can attend, because Hozier, Laufey, Renee Rapp, Conan Gray, and Chappell Roan to list a few in one weekend is absolutely insane.
