I don’t know why but I feel like if you pulled up with up with the tool bag backpack at CMU you’d get clowned on. I get the concept of the tool bag backpack and I’m sure it’s convenient but a backpack to hold tools as opposed to any other backpack with maybe less padding that could still probably hold your tools is goofy to me. I liked the tool bag that looks like a cooler on wheels. It reminds me exactly of the sewing machine bags my mom and her old lady circle of sewers wheel around. In terms of relevance to crew calls at CMU I think I prefer the smallest hand bag that can fit everything I need for ease and portability. Sometimes I’m afraid my stuff will get stolen so I tend to overlabel everything and keep things in a contained bag at all times.

This article's title is very strange. 2024 is not over yet, so how do they know that these are the best tool bags of 2024 when the year is not even half way through. How would I feel if I was a tool bag maker and the best tool bags of 2024 had already been decided, that would make me highly discouraged to make and design a new tool bag and release it this year if the best tool bags of this year are already decided. This does not instill confidence into this industry and I feel that it was a faulty decision to decide so early into 2024, the best tool bags of the year. Now do not get me wrong, I love a good tool bag but I would have rather waited until the end of 2024 for this review and instead gotten a half way review of the tool bags released so far in 2024.

After reading the tape measure article this past week I felt like I just had to comment on what the best tool bag for 2024 is. I personally have never put too much thought into my tool bag, it honestly seemed like I always just had one. Honestly, as long as it holds my tools, I really do not care too much about it. I did think the article was interesting especially because it listed the backpack as the best tool bag overall. Personally, I could not imagine showing up to a Job site with a backpack of tools rather than a bag but that is just me. I am sure it is probably more convenient when carrying a lot of tools over a distance to have it on your back rather than having to carry it in your hands, especially if you need to carry other things. In the end, I just really thought it was interesting that a backpack is the first choice of 2024.
