Yes, Party Robots are dancing at weddings now. See what it’s all about.

The Washington Post: After the vows, the champagne toasts, the filet mignon and the first dance between the bride and groom — after all the normal wedding stuff — came the cue. The cue for the abnormal wedding stuff. “Start waving those hands for the PARTY ROBOT!”

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about this and found the article hilarious. When I first read the headline without seeing the pictures I thought that it would be a small robot, more like the ones that are in a few restaurants or like the police robot in DC that fell into a fountain (RIP). I was shocked to see a picture of a robot towering over people. I feel like I would be very scared at first if I was a wedding guest and that monstrosity suddenly came in. I will say, I am quite disappointed that they keep calling it a robot when in fact it is just a man in a silly suit. That is like calling a dog wearing a bandana a cowboy. I guess in the age of AI the word robot has really lost its meaning. Also, I find it very funny that the article went into such depth about the background of the person in the costume, but I do appreciate it because it is definitely hard work.
