It makes me so happy that entertainers and tech people are unionizing and fighting for basic workers rights. I feel as though for so long having an awful work life balance and 0 benefits was just an accepted part of being in the entertainment industry. I’m very happy that people are finally standing up for themselves and their rights.Though the unions aren’t officially on strike I wonder if they will strike if their demands are not met. I wonder what another strike would do to the film and tv industry. The industry has rebounded pretty well from the WGA and SAG strike. New films are coming out again and TV shows are picking up. However, I wonder if some smaller studios would be able to survive another strike. Despite what a strike could do to the industry I would obviously support it. I know that if a strike happens it's absolutely necessary.
