AMERICAN THEATRE: The 1491s stared at the classroom’s blank whiteboards. The Native American sketch comedy troupe had never written a play before, but here they were at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, on a co-commission from Rhiana Yazzie’s New Native Theatre, on the assumption that they had a show in them.
