This seems like a really enjoyable show for me to watch. As a fashion lover, this is quite exciting. I love learning more about the start of fashion businesses and collections. I think it is always interesting to learn more about people who were successful in their artistry and industry. I love the clear attention to detail that was put into the costuming for this show, and I think it is so cool that the TV series was released on the date of Dior’s spring 2024 haute couture show in Paris. It connects the current audience of Dior to their past that is explored through the show, “The New Look.” I also found it quite interesting that the costumes team had to only use fabric swatches and sketches for the dresses in 1947. That must have been a really unique thing to have to work through, especially having to make the fabric swatches be approved by Dior. I wonder how they were able to make the costumes accurate to the period without having the same archives as with the others. I feel like that would be quite the challenge.
