I am extremely excited about this upcoming season! As someone who has never been to New York City, nor do I have the funds and the time to make a trip there, having shows that tour and come through cities near me is something I look forward to. If I were to go to New York City, many of these shows were on my list and I thought I would never be able to see them. I know I will for sure be seeing Moulin Rouge, Company, and The Book of Mormon. But I would also love to add The Wiz, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Mamma Mia to that list if I can have enough money to get tickets. I’m so excited for Company because it’s my favorite musical. I’ve only ever seen the Raul Esparza version, so I’m very excited to see the gender-swapped version when it comes through. -Hailey G

I am so excited to try and see some of these shows - specifically the tour of Moulin Rouge! - I saw it on tour a couple times in January when I was home (thank you student rush tickets!) and I fell in love with the show. The technical capacity of the show, especially on the tour where there is so much that is normally stripped or changed from the Broadway sets for touring purposes, is astounding, and my jaw never left the floor. The amount of scenic pieces, automation and costumes that have stayed with the show is many, and I’m waiting for it to show up in a city that posts a load-in or strike montage because I’m sure it’s such an incredible undertaking that I’d love to see. The cast of the tour was also just incredible when I saw it (as with all the other tours I’ve seen) - the caliber of the show was just so high.
