Meyer Sound system earns kudos at stunning Silicon Valley music showcase

LightSoundJournal.com: Although home to Stanford University and tech giants, the region south of San Francisco had been curiously lacking a first-rate music club for many years. That void has been recently filled, with the opening of Menlo Park’s intimate and elegant Guild Theatre, now attracting top-level artists with support from cutting-edge AV technologies that include a formidable Meyer Sound system.

It's so rare to see a project that's been given 100%, so it's always exciting to see what the end product is. Just the description of the space as a whole has me fascinated: such a small space but with the best equipment around can only make for an incredible experience. I feel like there could be articles like this one on every aspect of the theater. I wish the article went more in-depth with the holistic design process in particular, and how it interacted with other systems and other considerations. It’s interesting that Meyer Sound was highly recommended by so many different people. The only experience I’ve had with Meyer is a set of huge subs that my boss uses for concert sound – I don’t know the model, and they’re old and heavy and a pain to move, but when they’re on they’re really moving air, they sound awesome.
