Hot newcomer ‘iLuminate’ and sizzling returnee ‘Magic Mike Live’ light up Las Vegas’ north Strip
Las Vegas Weekly: For Miral Kotb, it’s always been about throwing a great party. But after the pandemic caused a year-long delay and relocation of her show iLuminate, its highly anticipated arrival on the Las Vegas Strip meant more than just having a great time.

It feels very exciting to see shows coming back to Las Vegas, especially seeing that they are requiring proof of vaccination. Las Vegas is such an entertainment mecca that it was exceptionally bleak to see all the live shows shut down. I also appreciate that iLuminate clarifies that alcohol/drinking aren’t essential to enjoying the show, as there’s a common misconception that you can’t have fun in Vegas if you’re not drinking. It’s also really fun to see a sexy dance show with male performers (Magic Mike Live), walking around Vegas as a woman it can feel like only women are objectified and at least in this instance there’s more balance. Combined with Cirque du Soleil performances finally resuming, it seems like the city is back in business and will hopefully attract enough tourism to keep the shows running. Hopefully with shows required vaccinated patrons, variants and new cases will be curbed and everything won’t go back into lockdown.
