I think the biggest takeaway from this article for me is that estimate shortage of welders by 2024. That is a huge number. While we all are here because we want to work in the entertainment industry, it is worth remembering that theater technicians have a wide variety of skills that, with a little bit more specialized training, could easily get them up and running in fields that could afford them a comfortable income. And while that might suck to think about, I think a lot of people in our industry were able to keep themselves afloat over the course of the pandemic while not making art because they had a fallback option when entertainment temporarily fell through.
