Metabo HPT Cordless Trim Router Review | M1808DAQ4
PTR: Metabo HPT cordless trim router (M1808DAQ4) is a great little router coming on the heels of the company’s release of the world’s first cordless full-size 1/2-inch router. The two routers complement each other quite nicely. The 1/2-inch Metabo HPT 36V Cordless Plunge Router (M3612DA) can handle anything you can throw at it. Their new trim router can do anything a trim router is supposed to do. It is also fun to use!

Going through the article’s full list of pros and cons I have to say that this router seems to really be worth the $150. The two biggest cons listed had to do with the dust port falling off regularly and the on and off buttons getting mixed up often. The pros were that it had myriad safety and efficiency features that made the router incredibly convenient to use regularly. Of course any potential buyers should weight the cost to benefit ratio themselves in the context of their own lives and projects but from my perspective it sounds like a marvelous buy. The sheer fact that the only true cons of the product, at least that were listed in this article, were just in terms of convenience while the pros were that of efficiency, efficacy, and safety tells me that this would be a really smart purchase for a shop.
