For some reason, at one point, or another, I was told that cast members at Disney were represented by Actors Equity Association. Therefore I assumed all performers of any type were represented. And we have seen in recent years how much cast members need support to continue making magic for us every day. Even after you representation the problems, don’t magically go away. Actors equity president, Kate Shindle recently announced she would be stepping down and not running for reelection. So I must admit That in all the Chaos of the past few years, easing union membership at Disney could be a nice way to remember the end of her time as president. But it is clear in all the language used by these future union members that they love Disney, love their job, and simply want to improve it, and I think to work at Disney that has to be true. You have to love the company and what they do.
