Deepdub is another AI creation that I think will always have multiple sides of relevance. I think the most useful thing this article pointed out about Deepdub is its ability to help child voice actors maintain an accent as I could see why a younger voice actor may need assistance. However as the article points out I think this just takes away jobs from a sector of work that already suffers from lack of employment opportunities. I think if this technology got to the point where it could fluidly only need one voice actor to do multiple films and jobs that it would take away people’s work who they’ve trained to do these tasks from practice and talent. I wonder if the AI altering makes the voices sound less raw/become monotone after a while especially if one actor’s voice is used multiple times across different media as the article pointed out would save company’s money.
